Hororata Pig & Possum Hunt

The Hororata  Pig & Possum Hunt will be held on the 24th – 26th  April ( weigh in Sunday, 26th  April Hororata Domain).  Fantastic prizes up for grabs, heaps of categories and some fun  events on weigh in day.   This event is targeted at family and community participation so make sure you keep this weekend free and pop along for what will be a enjoyable day (whether you’ve entered an animal or not).  Food and beverage stalls will be available on weigh in day.   Click here to visit the Facebook page

Held annually on Labour day this is a great family free fun day out with market stalls, children’s entertainment, a white elephant auction, live music and much more.

A traditional Scottish Highland Games with a kiwi twist. Heavy competitions (caber, sheath etc), Highland Dancing, Pipe Bands, Tug o’ War, market stalls, fairground, Have a Go, Junior Warriors and so much more. Join us to celebrate the Games 10th birthday!

Hororata Domain, Hororata

Experience hot air balloons firing up the night sky!

Balloonists from all over New Zealand are travelling to this event,  providing an unique opportunity to experience hot air balloons lighting up the night sky, glowing in unison to music.

Surrounding the Night Glow will be an autumn festival including live music, children’s entertainment and an amazing array of street food, this unique autumn festival will entertain the whole family.
