Volunteer for the Hororātā Glow Festival!

The Hororātā Glow Festival is back a fifth time on Saturday, 10th May (postponement date 11th May) – and we need you!

As part of Clan Hororātā, you’ll play a crucial role in making this incredible event happen while supporting our community. The festival is more than just an unforgettable night of glowing hot air balloons, entertainment, and family fun—it’s a major fundraiser for the Hororātā Hall project. The Hororātā Community Trust is working with an architect and hopes to present the masterplan to the community by mid-year. Every dollar of festival profit, just as in past years, is tagged to this project.

Beyond the Hall, the Hororātā Glow Festival provides a platform for 14 local community groups, who have collectively raised over $30,000 at past events. These funds support schools, clubs, and groups that are vital to the wellbeing of our rural community.

By volunteering, you’ll be at the heart of the action—working alongside a great team, experiencing the festival from a unique perspective, and contributing to something truly special for our area. Whether you’re masters of first impressions the carpark, greeting visitors at ticketing, helping with setup or pack down,  your effort will make a huge impact. And we promise—it’s fun! You’ll meet new people, gain a sense of pride in your community, and enjoy the buzz of being part of an event that thousands of people love.

Volunteers receive entry to the event and an invitation to the post-event BBQ in the Hororata Hall following the event.
