A Scottish Crafted Gin to support the Hororata Community  

A new gin with strong ties to both Scotland and the Hororata community was unveiled at the 2025 Hororata Highland Games, giving visitors the first opportunity to taste a spirit crafted especially for New Zealand gin enthusiasts.

Whisky Galore has spent the past three years working with their Scottish partners to develop Hororata Gin — a bold and distinctive spirit infused with ten botanicals and distilled in a traditional copper pot still. Starting with high-quality alcohol, they created a refined flavour profile that reflects both strength and sophistication. Developed and distilled in Scotland exclusively for New Zealand, this gin is truly one of a kind.

This unique Gin is only available through Whisky Galore, with a percentage of every bottle supporting the Hororata Hall restoration, a major project of the Hororata Community Trust.
