Learn about our district’s first settlers on an informative bus tour with local guides, visiting a number of properties. Enjoy machinery displays, learn the stories of the men and women on the land, see where famous books were written and enjoy stunning country scenery, gardens and homesteads.
This will be a full day’s tour, starting and finishing at Homesbush Stables. The tour will visit the newly renovated Steventon Homestead, Glenroy Hall, Rockwood Station and Cotons Cottage (for infomation on these properties click here.)
Along with visiting these properties and learning about the pioneer’s that called them home, you will be treated to some surprises throughout the day with machinery displays, vintage cars, readings from settlers’ diaries, period displays and much more.
Morning tea will be offered at registration and a yummy country picnic lunch will be provided at one of the stops.
