The objectives of the Hororata Community Trust include assisting in the repair, rebuilding and restoration of St John’s. The Trust has agreed to accept and hold donations for these general purposes.

Donation terms and conditions
By completing the Donation Form you acknowledge and agree that:
(a) You are making a voluntary gift of the amount listed on the Donation Form (Donation) for the purpose of assisting in the repair, rebuilding, and restoration of St John’s Hororata Anglican Church (St John’s).
(b) St John’s is owned by The Church Property Trustees, being trustees pursuant to the Anglican (Diocese of Christchurch) Church Property Act 2003.
(c) The Donation will be gifted to the Hororata Community Trust (Trust), being a registered charity with the New Zealand Charities Commission pursuant to the Charities Act 2005 (registration number CC46824) and being incorporated under the Charitable Trusts Act 1957 (incorporation number 2554696). The Trust will hold the Donation for the general purposes described at paragraph (a) above. However, as St John’s is not owned by the Trust, the Trust is not directly responsible or accountable for or in control of the repair, rebuilding, and restoration of St John’s.
(d) The general purposes for which the Donation is intended described at paragraph 1(a) above shall not create any specific, binding or lasting trust upon the Trust beyond the trusts expressed and implied in the Deed of Trust for the Trust.
(e) The application by the Trust of the Donation towards payment of any cost nominated by any representative of The Church Property Trustees or The Parish of Hororata Church Vestry as relating to the repair, rebuilding, and restoration of St John’s, or its ongoing repair and maintenance shall fulfil the obligations of the Trust in respect of the Donation and shall be a sufficient discharge to the Trust.
Anonymous Donations
Unless stated you wish to remain anonymous your details and donation amount will be shared with the Hororata Parish Vestry and St Johns Restoration Committee for their records. If you choose to remain anonymous you will receive a donation receipt from the Hororata Community Trust (if required) but your name will NOT be recorded.
If you would like your donation to be completely anonymous you are welcome to donate to account and not complete this form. However, you will not receive a receipt or any acknowledgment. If you would like the bank account number please email info@hororata.org.nz
Donations over $5000
Please note donations over $5000 the Hororata Community Trust will require a Deed of Gift to be signed. We will be in contact if this is required.
