There will be no gate sales. All tickets will be sold to the event through Eventfinda and will be limited to 10,000 people.

Postponement date: Sunday 9th May. If the event is postponed to Sunday the 9th May the festival will run regardless of the weather. A decision on postponement will be made by 8 pm Friday 7th May. If the event is postponed tickets will automatically be transferred to the 9th of May, however, there will be no refunds if the event is postponed and the ticket holder cannot attend.
Please note: The weather and wind may affect when the Night Glow happens and the type and length of the hot air balloons performance. 5.30 pm is the earliest time the Night Glow could happen. The balloons will not leave the ground at any point during the performance. This is a full festival with lots on offer, the hot air balloon Night Glow is only one part of the event. No refunds will be given if the balloons are unable to perform to their full potential.
If COVID 19 affects the running of this event, refunds will be available for tickets purchased through Eventfinda. The Hororata Community Trust is a member of the New Zealand Event Association and we will be implementing the industry best practice guidelines at this event.
Please note: No dogs, no BYO alcohol, no glass, we will be conducting bag searches at the gate. This is a smoke-free event. We have a huge selection of food vendors at the event however you are welcome to bring a picnic. There will be two licenced bars at the event. We are managing the capacity of this festival by limiting ticket sales this will avoid the overcrowding issues experienced at the 2019 event. For more information Click here for more FAQ’s.
