The Hororata Community is excited to have our hall back in community ownership and is looking forward to developing this facility into a hub for our rural area.

The Hororātā Hall, a cornerstone of our rural community since 1890, is a testament to our shared history. Built and nurtured by the community, it has fostered a robust, thriving community. This facility has rich historical value, a fact that our community deeply cherishes.

The Hororātā Community Trust is the custodian of the hall. Together with the community, the Trust is developing a plan to develop a hub surrounding the hall and its land.

Now is the time to not just add to or renovate the Hororātā Hall but reimagine and repurpose it to stand the test of time while honouring its history and architectural heritage.

The Hororata Highland Game is the foundation from which our community built to bring this project to fruition.
