The Terrace Station garden will be open from 11am until 3pm on Sunday 29 March.
Visitors often bring a picnic and sit in a sheltered corner soaking up the atmosphere of this noted heritage garden. The formal structure of the garden dates from the 1860s with garden rooms and paths leading to treasured spaces, some with views out to the wider countryside. This garden is a great place for all ages to explore, with treasure hunts available encouraging guests to look around every corner.
At this Open Garden Day, as well as a small plant stall, there will be representatives from Embroiderers Guilds within the Canterbury region working on a Suffrage Panel in the garden; everyone visiting will be welcome to contribute a stitch or two.
The $10 entry fee goes to the Terrace Station charity; children have free entry and space to run, and please leave dogs at home. Eftpos is not available. Directions will be signposted from the Hororata roundabout. Please check the Terrace Station Facebook page in case of inclement weather.
