A true mechanical swap meet catering for vintage, veteran, classic, cars, motorcycles, parts, tools and mechanical-related stuff.
Gates open at 7 am
- Looking to sell? Arrive on the day from 7 am, pay cash $15 site fee at the gate (includes entry for one person), and park as directed. No need to pre-book a site. The Hororata Mechanical Swap Meet has a NO BRIC-A-BRAC and HOUSEHOLD JUNK policy. If you bring china and soft toys to this event you will be told to go home.
- Looking to buy? Entry is $5 per person, kids under 12 years are free.
- Vintage/Classic Cars? We have special parking for you. $5 per person entry fee.
- Stay Overnight? If you want to park in the Hororata Domain the night before there is a $5 person fee for staying over night, additional to your entry fee.
Food and coffee will be available – make sure you try a legendary Hororata Pie!
Cash only event, we do not have Eftpos.

Dave and John have run the Hororata Mechanical Swap Meet since 2010. Due to COVID 19, the Hororata Mechanical Swap meet has been canceled 3 times so we are expecting a big turnout for 2022! Dave and John have joined forces with the Hororata Community Trust to bring you the event this year. All profits will be invested back into our community.
