Looking for a fun and easy way to raise money for your community group? Applications are now open to be part of two of Hororātā’s biggest events in 2026.

Hororātā Mechanical Swap Meet – Saturday 19 September 2026

We’re looking for 2–3 local community groups to help make the Swap Meet happen. Volunteers are needed from 6.30am–2pm, and participating groups will receive a share of the event profits.

Hororātā Highland Games – Saturday 7 November 2026

Join Clan Hororātā to make the Games happen! Community groups are invited to help with event set-up, on-the-day activities and pack down. Each selected group will receive $1,000 for their support. Seven spots available.

Applications close 5.00pm, Monday 27th July 2026.

Community groups must be based within the Hororātā Community Trust area (Hororātā, Coalgate, Glentunnel, Whitecliffs, Glenroy, Windwhistle and Lake Coleridge), with funds used for the benefit of the local community.

Many hands make light work—and every volunteer helps create great community events while raising valuable funds for local projects.
