The Selwyn Community Choir, whose members are from all over the Selwyn District, is proud to present “Home is Where the Heart is”, a selection of songs about love, peace, ANZAC, and home.

The concert is being held in the gardens at The Artist’s In, (the old pub) in Hororata 2.30pm on Saturday, 11 March 2023.

Lois Johnston, a renowned singing teacher, performer, music director and public speaker, along with Jeremy Woodside, will be accompanying the choir in a number of songs, as well as performing a set or two of her own. Lois believes that “opera is for anyone, anywhere” and she delivers it, up close and personally!

Bring along a picnic and a blanket or seat, or pre-order (by Friday 10 March) a picnic box of a dagwood sandwich, some slices and a bottle of water (or maybe a coffee) from the Hororata Cafe. The Artist’s In will be open from 10.30am so you will be able to peruse our local artistic talents before the event begins at 2.30pm, or during the half-time break.

Entry by KOHA (pay what you can afford), children under 12 free.
